

This is a showcase of some of the mahi I have completed as a Learning and Development Specialist.
Change Trainer Value Uplift
To achieve certification in this process improvement methodology, I completed a six-month project following the principles of DMAIC. I identified and implemented improvements that achieved greater efficiencies, increased the impact, and enhanced the value of Change Trainers and the Change Enablement team, and the contribution they made to the organisation as a whole. This work was instrumental in me being shortlisted for the NZATD L&D Practitioner of the Year award in 2024.
The Mould Project
As Senior Change Trainer at Kāinga Ora, I was assigned to the Mould project, responsible for training more than 500 Housing Support Workers across Aotearoa in the use of a new Mould Inspection App. I used the ADDIE framework to analyse the needs, design and develop innovative training solutions, and implement them across the workforce. Evaluation of the training was rated 8.44/10, with learners reporting 87% confidence to apply their learning in practice.
Tirohanga Whānui
I was part of the working group that designed the bespoke software tool that provided a panoramic view of change projects across the organisation. I later managed the full training lifecycle, from analysis and implementation through to ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement. This included tracking how the tool was being used and updating training materials to reflect both evolving functionality and emerging learner needs.
Space for you and your baby
Curriculum development for this programme meant weaving together adult education with the early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki. It also involved creating a pathway of learning and training the facilitators who delivered the programme. With online delivery of the curriculum aligned to facilitator learning needs, I successfully connected facilitator professional development with the content they delivered to learners (the parents and their babies), providing one portal to fit two different needs.
