Working in Space

One of my first tasks when I started working at the Space NZ Trust was to review the current training programme. I evaluated whether the programme was still fit for purpose, met the needs of the Trust partners, and was reflective of the latest learning methodologies. One of the outcomes was to move part of the training into an online setting. I first tested the viability of this with free online tools before the Trust invested in the online learning management system iQualify.

I then created a learning pathway for facilitators that extended their development beyond the training sessions and supported effective programme delivery. This coincided with a curriculum review, during which each session was rewritten to align with current research and thinking, and to incorporate a te ao Māori perspective.

Each module in iQualify contained learning for that session, the session guide, a downloadable session run sheet, and a reflective self‑evaluation to be completed after the session had been run.
